AMVETS is hosting a Birthday Party
at the end of each month for any member who had a birthday during that
month. The
next party is jANUARY 31st for members who had
birthdays in January. Come on in and join the fun.
Business Ads will be $50 a year to have your Newsletter Business Ad posted on the Web Site. $25 a year for Newsletter. This web site has had an average of 9,000 visitors per month over the past 3 months. $50 a year is a great bargain for that amount of exposure for a business.
Join AMVETS Post 2000 with our efforts to be a part of the “Green Team” and “recycle”! Bring in your aluminum cans and deposit them in the RED bin or bring them in the Post and we will depositthem in the RED bin.
We are
signing up for men’s women’s & mixed teams for horseshoes &
Bocce. Anyone interested in forming teams to challenge local
organizations, please, sign up on the bulletin board.
Remember, save your Coupons (sent over seas to help Military Families), Campbell Soup Labels (Kids at St. Jude’s Ranch), Box Tops (for Schools) Cancelled Stamps (for Missionary work), Beer & Soda Tabs (Ronald McDonald House) to deposit in the LAUX Collection Box.
DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting Dinner February 11th from 4-7. Prime Rib Sandwich will be served, Music by Harold & Cindy will start at 6:00pm, 50/50 and Poker Hands for $5.00. Please come out for Great Food and Fun!

As we go into
another new year, I wish each one of you a healthy and successful year.
It is always a pleasure to come to Post
2000 as your Post always welcomes my wife Jackie and I with open arms
and you make us feel at home. Thank you for your warmth and kind
hospitality.
You are to be commended for hosting the
first annual fundraiser for the Loveland
Center, who helps adults with developmental disabilities live their
lives to the fullest.
The District 10 Picnic will be at
AMVETS Post 2000 on Sunday February 12, 2012
starting at 1200 noon. Thank you for hosting the District 10 Picnic.
Save this date for the picnic. More details of the picnic will be giving
at a later time.
Honor our Veterans and our present

District 10 Nominations for Officers and Picnic Reminder
The February District 10 E Board meeting will be at AMVETS
Post 2000 on Sunday February 12, 2012 at 1100. Nominations for District
10 Officers will be held at this time. All positions are open.
The District Picnic will be at AMVETS Post 2000 on Sunday
February 12, 2012 at 1200 noon.
Qualifications:
Nominations shall be accepted at the February District 10 meeting and at the District 10 annual meeting in May.
Any
AMVET member is eligible to be elected to an office in District 10
Florida AMVETS providing they have the following qualifications;
- They must have
been members in good standing of an AMVETS Post in District 10 for
at least (6) months immediately prior to election.
- The member must have been an elected officer of a Post in District 10, Florida AMVETS.
